Not often, because it makes no sense. Only one person I loved and imagined a future with, started to threat me badly at some point of us being together and IF i didn't dump him in moment I did, I would dump him later.
IF my mother didn't drink hectoliters alc to fall asleep and her pancreas didn't turn in cancer cell factory, my life would be easier but I didn't have any influence on that...

Any decision we make in our lives can have a profound effect on the rest of our lives. But it's not something I wanna think about.

often, a lot... all the time

but that's just my quick-mind, considering... many options and possibilities before I decide...

even if fully convinced and determined, still worth for a quick-what-if... I better check-out before fully going... lol

but not too much, not so that it will bring me to inaction

What if it wasn't that often?

I know someone who would tell you that I don't do what ifs. But it's not like that. I'm interested in what ifs, but mostly when they are plausible.

What if I was interested in all types of what ifs? It's complicated.

I do ask myself that on occasion. There is one particular lady who I dated during my last year in grad school who I sometimes think about in terms of "what if we stayed together after college and became a couple?"

Yeah agree with some others on Too often..
My life was shaped by sliding doors moments , some good , some bad..

Worst outcome that screwd my early years was my father's car accident at age 7 , that changed everything..

    Too often.
    I keep telling myself I shouldn’t.
That’s envy is the road to sadness.
But I can’t help it. My mind loves to wonder and so it reaches a bunch of what ifs very easily.

Maybe when I was young I did that a lot, but now I just ask myself “is this the right or wrong thing?” and I believe everything happens for a reason.

When I come across an important situation doubting myself about acting insufficiently I always experience internal conflicts and aşk myself what if I said this instead of that or acted differently

Hardly ever. I see life as very linear. What happens, happens. Life would be intolerable if I went through it second guessing myself.

The what if -isms of history is a historical trap we try to avoid, because they didn't happen, so we can't try to determine the differences if ___ happened instead of ____.
