2.9K opinions shared on Other topic. Awwww. I love snakes, aside from the venomous kind. And I don't even hate those because they don't mean any harm.
We have gopher snakes and California king snakes on our property and in our garden. They are harmless and super nice.
The only venomous snakes around here are rattlesnakes. But they warn you when they are frightened and only bite when they are threatened because they have no other means of defense. But they don't want to bite anything that they don't intend to eat.
Whenever I find one near our house, I relocate it to another part of our property to continue eating vermin.
I guess I'm afraid of large, vicious dogs or any wild animal that wants to eat me.10 Reply

@MrOracle No, I MEANT, Ocean Mammals - Sharks, since their young are born alive and not hatched from eggs. "Sharks are classified as fish because they possess the defining traits of aquatic vertebrates, starting with their skeletal structure. Their internal framework is composed almost entirely of cartilage, a strong but flexible connective tissue, rather than true bone. This cartilaginous skeleton is lighter than bone, assisting with buoyancy and allowing for highly agile movement through the water."
Mr. Oracle, when I need your "sharp shooting" and 'correction,' I'll ask for it. In the meantime, mind your own business. Thank you- hot shot

I mean, he's not wrong. Sharks are not considered mammals. Whales and dolphins are mammals. The way your comment is worded makes it seem like you are saying that sharks are mammals

2 moWeaverfish. We don't have any dangerous land predators here apart from seals. There are mako sharks but apart from one gut in a kayak a few years ago attacks are unknown. Snake wise the local adders occasionally kill dogs but that's only because dogs attack them.
But weaverfish are easily stood on while swimming and they'll inject you with an agonising poison that'll make you cry like a baby and everyone will record it for their Facebook page10 Reply

2 moAnimal specifically, or anything in the animal kingdom? I’m deathly allergic to hornet stings. So i get fairly anxious around them; particularly the bald faced hornet. They are a particularly aggressive species.
Aside from that, i would be somewhat intimidated by polar bears. Since they are among the few species that actively hunt humans. I probably won’t die by polar bear because i loathe cold weather. I will probably die by bear though. I find them irresistibly cuddly looking. I’m just fortunate that i haven’t met one in the wild yet. 😂😂😂10 Reply - 661 opinions shared on Other topic.
2 moBasically top tier predators.
- Bears - Grizzly bears and polar bears.
- Dinosaurs - Saltwater crocs, Nile crocs.
- Sharks - White sharks, tiger sharks, bull sharks
- Big Cats - Tigers, jaguars.
Snakes don't bother me. For the most part they are not aggressive with animals the size of a human. And most snakes are not venomous. With a few exception, they'll hide or flee unless they can't. Do not slap a black mamba in the face.
10 Reply Maybe Bison given their unpredictability.
Honestly, not sure. I'm comfortable around almost all animals provided I have an idea of how to interact with them. And given I'm a a bit of a self proclaimed outdoors-man, I've interacted with most local wildlife at some point or another.
I think I might find issues around non-local wildlife such as crocodiles or something of the sort given I've never really seen them out in nature... they don't do so well here in Canada... but I suspect even that fear would be short lived.
p. s. actually.. raccoons. Fuck those guys.

2 moI'm on the fence with that as long as they're not on the offensive. I'm not really scared of any animal unless it's an attacker for no reason and I'm being threatened!
I was talking to an old hunter one day and he was telling me about the time he was hunting in wilds of Africa and, one very hot day, he stopped to sit on a rock for a few minutes and he said, "A few moments after I sat down, the HUGE lion jumped out at me from behind a bush and landed right in front of me!! RRRRROOOOOOWWWWEEERRRRRR!!! I just shit my pants!!"
I said, "I don't blame you!! I would've shit mine, too, if a lion did that to me!"
He said, "No, not then, just now when I went, RRRRROOOOOOWWWWEEERRRRRR!!!"20 Reply 2.1K opinions shared on Other topic. Whatever extremely deadly one is near me.
Doesn't really matter if its a gigantic bear, an extremely poisonous snake or an aggressive dog its the proximity that makes them scary. Neither a bear or a snake is scary if I can safely look at them from a distance. And none of the animals are scary if they aren't dangerous.10 Reply
2 moIf there's one animal I would never want to encounter in the wild it's the polar bear:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/9G1aHkLHQ2IAnd even though the clip was only 4 minutes long the assault on the box lasted for 45 minutes. That would fuck me up!

Anything wild for sure but I had to start laughing at your answer because I have a best friend he's a biker it's supposed to be this big badass and I've seen him around snakes and I mean he's like a cartoon character his whole body he's a big boy too his whole body goes up into the air straight and his feet are running in the air like he's trying to get away and he's screaming like bloody murder and he can't move fast enough that's so funny

There's this bug called the kissing bug that's kind of like a mosquito it senses peoples breathing and stuff and then it sneaks up when you're asleep and bites you. And it carries this parasite that will kill you without you noticing it. It kills like 10 000 people a year. Thankfully it doesn't exist where I live but wow when I heard about it, it was so scary.

2 moMeh. Snakes aren't that scary. People rarely get bitten other than if they step on them or try to kill them... in which case, I'm rooting for the snake.

10 Reply679 opinions shared on Other topic. Why be afraid of snakes? Even if it's venomous, you're unlikely to be in danger unless you step on one. They almost never attempt to strike a person unless they are threatened.

2 moLions and Tigers I'd be most scared of if I was face to face with them. Just any of the big cats really. Every other animal I think I can get away from or they'll leave me alone, bears don't usually attack, crocodiles can't climb.
