Is something that happened four years ago still considered recent?

What do you think about this? What were you doing in 2022?

I measure time by changes and sessional completions, not by years or days, like I view the time I spend at a previous job as one season in time, not as a designated number of months , years or days, and I view the times I have changes in my life as another segment in time. Changes in my life might include changes in my social circle through new or rediscovered friendships, it might involve relationships, it might involve changes in my life based on a switch in social groups, or a change in jobs, or a change in my learning environment or changes in my health biometric, or social affiliation with others, or mood changes that come with or without obvious triggers, etc...

I guess it depends...

at least for me... the pandemia does feel like it was forever ago, same with the last World Cup

however... some college kids just completed their usual four years, and about to graduate, and I bet that for many of them it went too quick and it was too soon, lol

might not be feeling ready for what comes next

Whether four years ago is considered "recent" depends entirely on the sandbox you are playing in.

I would say so
