If death came to you tonight, would you actually feel satisfied with the life you lived? Why or why not?

No i'd be extremely frustrated and deeply unhappy.
It would mean I had to deal with a life of being forced to be in school so I'd have a career and future, which lasted 3 years until a heavy burnout and the rest of my life was spent trapped and recovering from it. Without having achieved some of my deepest goals in this life, without having met some basic life goals that I want to experience.

I'm sane in my situation because theoretically I can get out of it and get the things I want if I find a proper cure. So I keep trying very hard to make that happen. But if that happy ending never comes and I die without having had the ability to actually life my life I'd be pissed.

If the child version of myself saw what I was today knowing he'd end up like me, he'd fall into despair. I haven't achieved anything I want in my life.

I haven't built my business.

I haven't written my book.

I haven't found the girl for me.

I haven't built my off grid house.

I haven't renovated my own campervan.

I haven't had a family of my own.

I haven't made my loved ones proud of who I am.

I haven't traveled to the places I want to.

I haven't learned how to do a flip.

I haven't learned how to do a planche pushup.

If I knew I was going to die now, I'd be absolutely miserable.

I barreled through college in 3 years to be done as soon as I could, and barreled through graduate school in 3 years to be done with that too thinking I'd do something with it all some day. But I got thrown a pretty big curveball and therefore my kids did too, so at this point all I care about when it comes to my life is that I've done the best I could for them and know that they're in the best position they possibly could be given the circumstances and that's the only part of my life I care about being satisfied with. But I'd roll in my grave for a long time knowing that they'd have to deal with yet another big loss because they've dealt with enough already.

so here: I have lived an amazing life… still living in one… I have had about 10 years of down time… really really down… court and lawyers and nightmares and suicidal thoughts etc…

guess who helped… gag friends.
I completed my undergraduate, got a good job, grad school and more. Married, kids.. you know.. the typical… nice home… the perfect life… then divorced…

I am healed and in a very good place… if I died today… I already told my kids… how things will go… they used to get sad… since I have them the security and a good life path and roots and volum to work with… they are in good hands.
they know that if I go… they are self sufficient. 😊

Not really , there is so much I would like to do before I pass away , most of my life was tied up raising my kids’ so now that they are older , I want to travel and do things I never got to do , why I am seeking a girl that doesn’t want kids or already has kids’ to travel with and spoil each other.

No, I have lived my life always doing the responsible thing and living up to everyone;s expectations. I had a family to support. I took care of my parents and was always the one that had to make everything work. I always wanted to go back to Florida and always wanted to learn how to fly a plane.

My hubby is volunteering in a local high school where kids fix planes. Not sure if they get to fly…
I just went to an airplane museum with him this weekend… we saw them during trainings really cool stuff.
He said we can go fly one if I wanted to.

Completely. I have created love. I have created The World's Best Kids. In small ways I have made the world a better place. I have held my integrity. And the whole thing has proved frightfully amusing.

I'm happy with the life I have led. I have no plans to die soon, but my will and things are in order, properly documented, so that if I die, my wife and children know what to do and are taken care of.
