Isn't adoption being romanticized for no reason?

I see it mostly among foreigners, all that touching stuff about little Johnny joining his new family. Yeah Johnny is cute but... a bastard is a bastard. There’s nothing sane about raising someone else's kid, you never know what they will turn into when they become teenagers.

So to be fair this is actually something I've thought about myself, because I've thought about adopting in the past. I sometimes wonder if the kid will go off one day, or try to have sex with my wife or daughter if I had one.

Some people want kids but can't have them, so adoption is a good option.
