How is July treating you so far?

It's pretty warm - 89° to 101° throughout the weeks, so far. Thank goodness we don't have much humidity here in California.

I stay indoors a lot except for short forays outside to garden my veggies. I have been paying someone to do all the weed eating that needs to be done on our property this time of year.

We just had our 24 year old roof and rain gutters replaced.

I had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from the tip of my right elbow the other day and have an appointment to remove another one from my left forearm. Thankfully, they are not dangerous.

I went to beach few days ago and red flags (going into water forbidden), because of strong wind and back streams which can easily drift away a swimmer into sea.
Fine white sand of our shores acts like a sand blasting material by stronger wind. It's not really pleasant at the beach currently.
Otherwise I like the warm temperatures but tourist everywhere are annoying.

What are your average temps, morning and afternoon in TX, these days?

@Maybe_Maybe_not the mornings are the less hot time of the day... but it could be around 26celsius that feels like 30C (yes... the actual temperature is different than the "feels like, temperature")

it's around midday or noon... where the average heat will hit... which would be around 38C and 38celsius is not too bad, but by 4pm it can just heat up to anywhere from 42 to 46C temps...

if you just want "average temps"

30C in the mornings... and 38C afternoons

the absolute worst (for me) is the fact that I often have to go through doors... from the AC in my home, out the hell outside, then another door to get into the AC of a car, and once more... out in the melting conditions, just to get to somewhere into the AC again...

and if you have to go to a few places... that's just a bit of a torture right there, lol

It's funny, I heard, for most of my life, that AC was a device to use parsimoniously, because legionella, because respiratory irritation. That was in the context of my region, that isn't in need of AC, except for a few heatwave days a year.

But now that heatwaves, here, are more severe and longer, I don't really hear people speaking about these issues anymore. That seems convenient hehe
