What’s one thing that emotionally drains you but you still do anyway?

volunteering for the Vet Clinic/Shelter/Rescue place...

because it can be a constant roller coaster of very mixed emotions and feelings, of course... it's a great place, with a great cause and some of the most amazing people you will ever meet too, but... from time to time you do get to see and to hear of just how terribly horrible some people can be towards their pets, or strays... it just awful

and I just can't get used to that... I can deal with it for a time, but it costs me a lot to shake it off, so... I found slightly different ways to help the place and their cause that won't affect me as much, lol
