To be honest about 40 million after taxes. I have a lot of debt I would need to get taken care of and then once that's taken care of, I would use the rest to help my family and close friends. I would give my mother and grandmother at least 5 million each. My best friend would get half of the money as we said we would always give each other half if we ever came into a lot of money and the rest I would live off of for the rest of my life.
So that's 20 million that I would have and then 10 million after I give 5 million each to my mother and grandmother.
I'm not sure how much inflation is going to go up in the next 10 to 20 years so that's why I'm thinking 40 million. Well really 10 million for me.
I hear you. We all want to help family, but you definitely have to help yourself first. If we're talking about my family, I actually did a calculation to how much I'd need. My $500k for myself would go up over $3 mil
That's definitely true.
You're welcome! 😊
Just enough to survive, pay my way and do the things I like to do which is not much. I am truly low maintenance.
I hear ya and respect that, but just to clarify, I meant a specific number. An approximate obviously 😂
The way you all obsess about money is truly beyond me. Lol!
I don't think I do. But I do think I need it to live a certain standard of life 😅
Sure, but you are looking for a specific number which is pretty much private information which I'm not sure many on here are willing to share publicly so... Lol!
Really? An approximate number? This is something you could ask any high school student and they'd answer for fun. I don't think it's that deep. For me, I think $500k would be around the number to never have me worry about it again.
In 1970 having a million dollars meant you never had to worry about money again so calculating for inflation you would need about 10 million.
Thats to live the rest of your life living an upper middle class life style with a decent home, two decent cars, eating well, a few holidays a year etc.
Being a millionaire doesn't mean what it used too.
2.5 million probably.
All moneys moved to safe, low yield accounts probably making 4 to 5 percent interest.
100,000 to 120,000 per year of interest. Can live off interest and accounts still grow.
Sounds solid

50 million, but even though you can do a lot of crazy things with that money if you’re not careful, it can be gone. But what I would really like is to have billions of dollars so I could purchase the Miami Dolphins football team, But he wants to keep that in his son’s legacy in the family Steven Ross, the owner of the Dolphins
A couple million would be more than enough to do the things I want to do to my house and land, pay off my debts, and replenish my IRA so that I could draw on it when necessary without worrying about running out.
fortunately... I have not been stressed about money for a while
but to answer you... whatever covers healthcare, would be great
£2m. Could make that work. Or £5m so I'd never have to work again
I would say 20 million dollars. Find some passive income investments and just retire
If I have like 2 million liquid and several million tied up in assets I'll be cool.
400kg 99,99% gold in small pearls.
Money is just paper that can become worthless from one minute to another
I don't stress about it now, so I must have made it.🤷♂️
I guess what ever i could get.. its not money that stresses me out.
A hundred million in capital should take care of it. Pounds sterling, naturally.
Whatever a nice home costs, plus a million.
$5 million is more than enough for me!
Let's say £5M
20 billion dollars.
