I think this is exactly the choice men have.

With the median length of marriage being 8 years with 1.8 children, most men will find themselves impoverished as a consequent of being in a relationship.

In my country if I am in a relationship for 2+ years then the girl will have a financial claim on me when she walks out.

If I abstain from 2+ year relationships, marriage and impregnating women than I won't have to worry about money but can still have short term relationships.

So I will be sensible.

If it’s the latter then yes, I’d give up a lot of those relationships but nothing would make me drop my current relationship with my amazing man.
