What is the one thing you love about the month of August?

Less heat than in June and July. But as I live in a tourist resort, where population triples over the summer months, the very best of the month of August is the end of the month, when people pack their stuff. It's not a question of being selfish, but two months of a crowded city centre, crowded beaches, lack of parking space and empty-shelf supermarkets is a bit too much for us locals.

@EmmaMary Where I like the air is so clean that this month of the year you get to see every single star in the sky. And it is a beautiful sight.

I seem to remember on one our frequent trips to Egypt some twenty plus years ago, we would take a rickety old mini bus tour out into the desert late at night, where it was absolutely pitch black, to see the stars... It truly was an amazing, unforgettable sight and experience.
