Felt ignored at a meetup after arriving late—should I go back?

Went to a meet and like I don't know I had arrived a bit after and everyone sort of stayed in their own in groups

Not sure if the vibe was off or it’s because I came after

To clarify was not one of those strict gotta come on time kind of events

You arrive late at a party and other people are already immersed in conversations with each other. They weren't waiting for you. They didn't stop and say, "Hey, everybody! Anon 30-35 is here, Now we can start!" Is that the gist of the situation?

It was not come at start time kind of event it was more come any time type of event

But I’m confused is it beceuse once you come in after the momentum is lost or beceuse they don’t care to know others

As for showing up late when you showed up late the groups probably saw you coming & said you can go pound sand for not showing up on time.
