I’m watching this series where this rich middle aged woman basically hires an Eastern European blonde bombshell, tall like a model and younger than her and she’s living in their home. It’s a married couple, the teenage daughter, and maid living together... nothing weird so far. Plus the maid is dressed more like a secretary than a maid lol. It’s not the plot of the the series and the rich woman is a very minor secondary character, but it made me wonder if most women would be this brave, confident, or even flat out trusting in real life. For the question’s sake, let’s pretend like these are the only two options.

If I had the money to waste on a maid, I would hire an older (50 years +) maid to do what I could do as well. That is to clean my small apartment.

It is not a matter of trust or not but a matter that an elderly person has a much harder time to find a job while a younger one will be easily hired by companies and private people alike.

It becomes more and more difficult to find a job after a certain age and if I can help someone out that cannot find employment, then I would certainly do it.
