Would you date a hot but high maintenance girl?

I know a girl who is hot, stunning, gorgeous, sexy, beautiful...all those good things. but she is very high maintenance. every dinner must be at a 5 star restaurant. she'll only go to very exclusive clubs. she expects her man to buy her a gift once a week just because, and of course it must be something like a diamond bracelet or a designer purse. for big events like her birthday she demands that a guy take her where ever in the world she wants to go, to fly her there first class, and to put her in a 5 star hotel. this girl is 25 years old and has not been single more than two weeks since she was 14. I'm surprised that she can get so many guys with all her demands. are guys really that desperate for a trophy girlfriend?

Personally, I'm not surprised she can get so many guys. We call those guys suckers. And there's a sucker born every minute. I wouldn't date a girl like that and she wouldn't date me. I'm a university student and even if I was working on the side I probably still couldn't afford her.

But let me play devils advocate (well sort of) here and say that, in her defense, I'm sure being extraordinarily hot messes you up in the head. She probably had guys fawning on her since she hit puberty, always trying to buy her attention. And I guess if so many freely offer it, she wouldn't be averse to taking them up on it. After ten years of that I can see someone developing a sense of entitlement, sure. Doesn't excuse it but there it is.

You know I was on Amazon the other day and I came across one of those cutesy dating books for girls titled "How to get a man to do anything you want! Get him to buy you stuff!" or something like that and the cover p*ssed me off so much I just had to click it. It had sort of a preview thing where you can read a chapter and you know what? It was so accurate that it was spooky.

Everything in there I knew was intrinsically true, being a guy of course. Yet the author expressed it in ways I never thought to but I wish I did. It never occurred to me that girls didn't know that guys feel like women will never want them as much as we want them. All but the most confident and secure guys have a void within and despite our tough face we put on we all secretly need to be loved and validated. The presence of a woman, the feeling (in this case an illusion) that she also wants you fills that void and makes us feel whole. And that makes us ripe for exploitation. The author explained it even more clearly than I can here. I was incredulous.

I'll have to find that page and link it back. I think guys should be reading some of this literature, it's an eye-opener. But to answer your question, yes, guys are really that desperate for a trophy girlfriend but not just because she's a bombshell. It's because she fills that emotional void and quells that deep insecurity within. The fact that such an average guy could get a beauty like that lifts their ego, even if it's only because he's buying her attention.

This girl is the female equivalent of "the jerk" stereotype of guy. The opposite sex is powerfully attracted to them but they only use them.

Well, that is beyond high maintenance, that's just stupid ridiculous. My girl is high maintenance, and I treat her very similar to her but...A gift every week? 5 star this, 5 star that. If she is demanding of that, well I will say this, no girl is worth that. That simply goes to show me that she is not interested in the quality of person she is with, rather than what quantity of money he brings to the table, thus she will NEVER have a quality relationship and I can almost guarantee you that she is very insecure with herself. But a girl like that, NOPE not in a million years.

I'm flipping your question around, and substituting a high maintenance guy for a high maintenance girl. My answer is no, I want to be able to wear sweats occasionally with them. If every birthday or anniversary was like a Rolex, it'd be ridiculous.

As for the girl that you know who does that, kudos to her for finding rich schmucks to make a buck off of. However, if it doesn't appeal to you, then don't do it. There are a ton of guys out there, and they all like different things.

No, I wouldn't. One of my criteria is that she act like an actual human being, not like some queen. Besides, those types are a big turnoff. She seems to use guys to get material things, so in a sense she isn't really having relationships, she's having followers. I feel bad for the guys that fall into this. Once she gets to a certain age, the men her age will be more willing to reject her because of these things.

Personally, I would not date her. I don't think I can afford to date her, but even I was rich I still wouldn't. She sounds like a gold digger to me. But I think she's smart. She's using her looks and beauty to her advantage. Its kinda like a desirable man is a rich one, whereas a desirable woman is a beautiful one.
