If I come across something I don't know that I think I should, I am compelled to look it up. Words I've never heard, or interesting facts and stories about almost anything, are things I want to know. History is hit or miss with me, and pop culture is meaningless to me. I couldn't care less what Taylor Swift is up to, or who Kim Kardashian is currently screwing.
The moment we stop asking questions, is the moment we stop seeking knowledge and wisdom. I believe there is never a point in time where we should settle for what we know. There's always things we need to discover and expand our minds.

I have a lot of questions but I doubt most of them can be answered by human beings.
With general knowledge and interpretation it's possible to answer most question with close probability the answers are correct. Asking alone isn't the solution for everything, sometime it's important to develop own theories and theses. Of course this creates new questions and there is no certainty those theories and theses are true.
Questions lead to answers or assumptions which lead to other questions. This is one of the ways to self improvement.
Another benefit of asking questions is the control of discussion, but this is another topic.
If I'm interested in the subject I ask many questions. Even though a lot of the answers are wrong. Curse you, Reddit!
I'm one of those annoying people who if they get sick knows more about their condition than their doctor.
My wife says I ask too many questions, but I only ask a question when I don't know the answer and it's important that I know.

I am neurodivergent, which means that my brain works differently that 80% of neurotypicals. I usually ask a lot of questions, and think "outside the box".
When I have the inspiration, I do ask enough questions, but I often settle for what I know.
