As for me... I don't think so, unless everyone I love lives forever, too...

I've pondered that. I don't think humans are built for eternity. Sheer mental capacity and memory. Then there's the effect you mentioned of outliving everyone around you over and over again. I've had a taste of that on a very small scale. Everyone I've ever known has or is aging a lot faster than me. I get resentment. I'm still doing the things I was doing in my 20's. Zero health problems. Fit with no muscle loss. And they are worn out. Fat. With no muscle. Hip and knee replacements. Heart problems. Death. I keep changing my friend groups every 10 years or so to find people who can do stuff with me like skiing, mountain climbing, running, lifting, body surfing. What if you had to do that for 1,000 years? 10,000? Would you eventually get bored to death? Been there, done that to infinity? Could you absorb the technical and societal changes? Who would you talk to about the way it used to be. Nah, our biology is not built for eternity.

Easy yes, I could do everything with no stress. It would give more meaning to things as when I die nothing matters as I aren't aware to know anything does but staying alive makes everything matter as I shall always be aware of it. Also there is an idea that everyone dies twice once physically and the other when nobody remembers you, if I lived forever anyone who dies I'll remember so they will never die twice.

There's an old Twilight Zone about this where the guy gets to live forever and ends up with life in prison on the first day. Or what if you become a quadriplegic? Living forever comes with the same risks and problems we all have now, and you'll have forever to come across one or more devastating situations where you wouldn't want to continue living.

Life’s beautiful because it’s fleeting. Why would I deny myself that? I would rather die having lived than simply linger for eternity with nothing to be excited about

I take that back. I might do it just for spite. To taunt all the mortals i don't like. Wait till they're dying of say lung cancer. Then come visit them in the hospital and take deep breathes and say how nice it is to breathe deeply the fresh air.😆

It might be nice but, I don't know if I'd want to live FOREVER, maybe a few hundred years and, mostly, if I could keep the same physique as when I was in my 30's.
