If money weren’t an issue, what would your dream home look like?

massive balcony with pool in it. also has a garden so the dogs can play however they like. also couches to it so you can just lay down and chill.

bathroom

a dublex house, i will use 1 room for just the bed, the bed must cover all the room.

a room for dressing, room as a closet with vanity mirrors and a couch to sit while dressing.

a room for hobbies and junks.

main room should have 2 large wide L shaped couches and a short table in the middle tv is in the opposite direction.

Gorgeous!!! I have had built houses from the ground up, lovely other houses I have rented, apartments and rooms etc... But I live now at an extended stay with a balcony a King sized room and absolutely gorgeous with all f my things I own and even more. My Dream home now.

My ''dream home'' is free from stereotypes.

It will be:

- inaccessible unless one has a helicopter or boat

- self supporting with power, water, communication (star link, perhaps, once Musk bit the dust)

It will not ''look'', but rather give peace, comforts and focus.

Similar to ''The Man with the Golden Gun'' - but without guns, gold, agendas or ambitions, and secret agents :D (and certainly not in Phang Nga Bay area)

I actually found a suitable Island already with a not too big cave that can be converted into living space. But it's UNESCO ''protected'' area. Too bad.

As for ''looks'' (indirectly): integrated to, and merging, with nature. No ''doors''. No ''life-style'' heckmeck. Natural materials combined with high-tech background which remains invisible.

Most important: strictly no TV

Nothing extremely elaborate (as in, extremely ornate and opulent) but, at least 4 floors (I need the room for my 62,000 records, all my drums and synthesizers, a big enough space to build a recording studio, a broadcasting room where I can do my own radio show and at least one room with a pool table) and it'd be really cool if there were hidden secret passages throughout the house. Absolutely at least one swimming pool if not a second one inside so I could also swim in the winter and hot and cold running blonds!
Of course, if money was no object I'd buy my own house back from whoever has it, now and maybe add a 4th floor to it or have a second building of two or three floors where the garage used to be and that'd have my recording studio and broadcast room!!

I'm living it. Home is where the heart is. As long as as it's comfortable, cool when it's hot out and warm when it's cold out. As long as it keeps the rain off me and it is filled with love that is a mansion to me. Anything else is simply for show.

I assume running costs will not be a problem for me either. A very substantially sized conservatory would be the number on feature I would want out the back with a artificial brook and lots of tree ferns and other ferns as well. Sort of a spring motif. My local park has similar - I'd just want it bigger.

The front living quarters would be classical. Much like your pic but stripped down in ornateness. Definitely want to have rounded arches.

But I actually have my dream home. A 4 bedroom house, a large attic space, dining room, kitchen/sitting room, a study, laundry room, 2 car garage, drive way, pool, front and back garden, drive way, porch, large basement and bomb shelter under the basement.

I love to sit on the porch in the summer evenings with a whiskey or a beer and smoke a cigar watching thunder storms. Love American houses.
