Why do country guys seem taller and more muscular than city guys?

[Anonymous]

[Anonymous]

Well more muscular because they're probably doing more physical work than men in the city. I don't know that there's any evidence that they're taller, I seem to find plenty of tall men in the city.

Manual labor explains muscle. Height has no correlation.

[Asker]

Yeah, you're right about the height thing, but most of em still turn out tall.

Better diet and exercise. Genetics. Farmers used to have a lot of kids. The strongest would survive and continue the bloodline.

Riding horses. All that saddle bouncing with your feet in the stirrups stretches you out.

Lifestyle.

Country guys do physical work since they were kids, lifting, walking, fixing stuff.

It's natural strength, not just gym muscle.

City guys build it at the gym.
Same strength, just different way.

I've never noticed or even taken an interest to notice that

[FrodoSkywalker007]

They don't visit Starbucks every day

[Asker]

Yeah, exactly. They don't got time for that — breakfast's gotta match the effort.

[NathanDavis]

I guess that varies by region

[FreyaRed]

Not in my region

Good food and honest work.

[Iron_Man]

Maybe it’s the food I don’t know

[Nikki1989]

I have never noticed that before.

[moddy_the_mod]

[Asker]
