Why are tall guys so much more attractive than short guys?

I’ve always dated short guys (5’6—5’9) all my life but my current boyfriend is 6’1 and is so amazing. I feel so much more secure protected and safe with him than with any one of my exes. And it makes me feel so feminine as I’m already a bit taller than an average woman (5’6). I don’t think I could ever date a short guy again but I don’t understand why I can’t go back.
