How do North Africans distinguish Arab, Amazigh, African, and Black identities?

I was talking to a Moroccan man who said he could use certain racial language about black people because he's African. Does being North African mean some people believe they have the same racial identity or cultural connection as Black people, particularly Black Americans?

I'm curious about how North Africans view their racial identity and whether they see being African and being Black as the same thing. I'd especially like to hear from North Africans and Black people.

North Africans? lol please share a few countries.
Morroco, Libiya, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, are very different from African Americans whom have their ancestors in the US since before the Civil War. There are also many who came from Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican republics, and a few from Guyana…

Not all Africans are black though most are. Colonisation happened and non indigenous culture has been added to the African melting pot. That the continent is so vast in the first place makes it easy to realise the cultural differences between one area and another so for sure they will have built up a vocabulary about each other just as the Scots, English, Welsh and Irish have in the British Isles.

To be clear I'm a white dude so I arguably don't know what I'm talking about and there will be some generalizations because who knows who bred with whom, but Moroccans are Moors and Moors are Arabs and Arabs aren't black, so your Moroccan friend is likely just an old-fashioned racist.
