Ladies: Is someone who drives a Mustang a tool?

So, I just got out of college and got a job for $50,000 a year. I've been saving much of my money and average about $600 extra per month. I'm still driving an old 1998 Corolla and am considering buying a Mustang. It's just something I've always wanted, even from the time I was 5 I was thinking "When I grow up, I want to buy a Mustang!" I drove one when I was 17 and fell in love ha ha XD

I just don't want girls to think I'm trying to compensate for a personality flaw (someone I know said that should be a concern) or think I'm a tool. Would you think negatively of me if you saw me drive up in a Mustang for a date?

As a former Mustang owner, A LOT of people will think you're a tool. Some of the stereotype has merit because some of the Mustang drivers around here (and I mean, in the car scene. Not just some random person) are tool bags. Some of them think because they have a Mustang, that they're just hot sh*t and can pull on anything. But yeah, it's not a true statement for everyone. Some people just like Mustangs, including me. I had mine built up enough to hold with a Terminator Cobra and got respect for it.

I would have people act sh*tty towards me, especially the stupid Honda kids with their "baller" Civics. I'm not sure if it was jealousy or if they just wanted to act like the stereotype was true, but I just countered them by asking why they thought my car was a POS. They would say random ass reasons and I'd subsequently show them why they were wrong. It was actually kind of fun :)

So yeah, basically there are douches that drive Mustangs then there are douches that act like that TOWARDS Mustang drivers. Just don't flaunt it around, Mustangs can be beaten by a lot of cars on the road. And don't buy one for women, that's stupid too.

Yeah, I plan on just driving it and having fun, not rubbing it in someone's face. And I won't buy one for women, I'd buy one because I think it's a cool car and can afford it.

Personally I hate the new mustangs but the old ones are beautiful. But regardless of what I or any other girl thinks if you're in love with the car and can afford it you should get it. If a girl discounts you because of your car she probably isn't a good fit for you anyhow.

lmao no, you're not a tool based on the car you drive. I dated a guy with an electric blue Mustang and he was far from a tool :)
