Absolutely. Taught 2 women to drive a stick. Most challenging was my wife when we lived in El Paso, TX. MAJOR HILLS. Hardest part was teaching her how to get the car moving from a complete stop at the bottom of a steep hill. Had a bumper sticker made for her that said CAUTION LEARNING TO DRIVE A STICK PLEASE STAY BACK. She was afraid of rolling backwards and hitting a car behind her. I qualified for sainthood. Several times she stalled the car at an intersection and panicked. We had to switch seats quickly. Now, she refuses to drive an automatic. Her learning to drive a stick was so empowering.
Not really because it's still pretty common to drive stick shift where I live. I'm not allowed to drive a car but my little sister learned how to drive with a stick shift car and when my fiancée gets her license, I will tell her to also do that. Just in case.
I've always drove a car with a gear stick.
I once drove my uncle's manual car, and it was weird lol I'm too used to being in total control of my own car by using the gear stick. I've had the option to buy a manual car , but i've always opted for a car with a gear stick lol
Where I live , a manual car is usually what elderly people drive or disabled people. Younger people rarely buy a manual car in the area where I live
My girlfriend in high school was real skinny. Learned how to drive on a station wagon that had a column shifter (3 on the tree), no power steering or power brakes. Couldn't picture her skinny arms turning that steering wheel on that big old car and learning to drive a clutch on it.
I would be impressed two cause were i live most cars are manual.. i've only been in one car that was stick shift but before and after they are all manual. But what does it matter, I already know how to drive "stick"..

Is that really something to be impressed by though? I refuse to drive an automatic. I'm not gonna lie... it's kind of a turn off if a guy doesn't know how to drive a manual. Is that bad?
Is it going to get me places?
Perfect!! 😏😝

In Europe stick shift is normal, but in the US most cars are automatic. I used to drive stick shift and many guys who rode in my car were very impressed to see me drive stick shift.
NO! why? why would you be impressed if a human being drives a car. Are you trying to say that girls are stupid and not capable of driving a car?
How about this. Girls would you be impressed if a men can cook?
lol all women in Europe know how to drive a stickshift
Literally no guy has been impressed by me knowing how to drive a stick, haha. It's cool though. Driving a stick really isn't a big deal... it's not that impressive, to be honest.
No, I'd be surprised if she couldn't.
I can't see why it would be a turn on?
My aunt used to drive a stick shift wagon, And she's now in her nineties. In her day you had to double declutch to change gear.( Ask your Grandad what that is.)
A bit strange to be impressed by something that is common lol
It's almost like saying if guys were impressed about a girl using hand tools
I drove a stick shift for my first car, and so I drove one for a year in my marriage but I don't think that made my husband impressed or anything.
Like 90% of people with drivers licence here know how to drive a stick shift, including me, so not that impressive.
Not really. I think everybody should be able to, and it's just kinda pathetic that so many people can't.
I don't know why it should be impressive, you can learn in a day. It doesn't really matter either way.
I live in Europe and pretty much everyone here drives manual. And tbh it's much more fun.
Pretty much everyone, man or women, does how to drive a stickshift in England.
That's what I learned to drive on because it's what my dad used to teach me how to drive.
I'm European. Everybody drives those cars here. It's just normal.
Yes, that is awesome if a woman could drive a stick shift i agree.
Stick shift car no but if she could perfectly shift a 18 speed semi truck I would be a little impressed as that's much harder to do
I can drive both a stick shift and automatic. Why, do not many women know how to drive stick shifts?
I keep finding it so strange that in America that's so special.
Not really, but if she drives with co-ordination and spatial awareness then yes.
(I used to be a racing driver, raced karts and formula 4)
Not really, I just assume that most people know how.
Everyone in Europe drives manual. Only americans don't..
Since I'm in Europe, that's only normal.
I'd be impressed by anyone who knew how to
Not such a big deal in Europe...
A girl who can drive stick, gets my stick up.
Its the regular in my country.
Heck yeah 😊
A little?
