First time at a nightclub--what to expect?

So a club opened up down the road from me, called Electric Cowboy. And considering it's a mile away from a huge college, probably has tons of people, haha. I'm considering going, but I've never tried clubbing and have no idea what to expect. So... any words of wisdom before going? Heads-up?

It's not a gay club, haha. I checked, and the pamphlets all have scantily clad women on them, lol, so it's definitely not gay, though it is western themed I guess.

Well, if there's gonna be a bunch of college students there it will be a bit rowdy :P I went clubbing a few times, and the clubs that are attended mostly by the college crowd tend to be crowded and rowdy. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but be prepared to wait for drinks and to constantly get bumped by people.

I would also suggest not wearing anything too warm, such as a sweater, because it will get pretty warm in there. Go with a group of friends in case it gets stupid (ie. drama with a big group of people) so that you guys can head somewhere else.

Best thing to do is go to several different places. That way if you don't like the atmosphere of the club you can go somewhere else.

Do some pre-drinking too. Drinks are expensive in clubs and you might be shelling out 4-10 bucks a drink, depends on their pricing. You also might not get a decent sized drink, and you might be waiting a while for the bartender if it is busy.

Bring hand sanitizer too, because when it's busy, washrooms are often neglected. This is usually more of a problem for girls than guys, but just bring some in case.

Also, if some body tries to start drama with you, just walk away. People can get stupid in clubs, so its better to just walk away until they can't see you through a crowd of people :P

I wouldn't recommend wearing your Sunday Best - chances are you'll get alcohol/vomit on it...

Definitely have a drink before you go - you'll probably have to queue for a while to get in and you want to feel relaxed when you get there :)

Ps. I'm not sure what sort of club Electric Cowboy is...but in SOME clubs I've been in, there has been a bit of 'sexual business' going on in the corners - so watch out for sticky walls!

Well since its country I'll say girls will have tiny clothes, dancing possibly slutty, and be very drunk. There will be some sketchy guys and the usual stuck up ones. But its not going to be anything I'm sure you can't handle :) Just be open to the new experience :)

Are you sure it is not a gay club? The name soudns a bit dodgy. I would advice.

1. Get drunk at home cause drinks in clubs are expensive

2. Invite only cool mates. Like fun people and not the loner types, they kill your vibe. Preferably a couple hot girls as well. Latinas are the best cause they are naturally fun and they attract other women to the group.

3. Check when it opens and be there half an hour later max, cause it is probably quite popular and the line will be massive.

4. Don't expect people to hear you much, so you have to shout.

Just some stuff of the top of my head. Anything else just ask.

Get there a little bit drunk, do not expect to have sex(since you have not done clubbing), dance a lot if the music is to your liking.

Go with friends. Dance but don't get too crazy and weird cause us girls think you're a retard. lol. Its going to be very loud and crowded. Youwon't be able to move on the dance floor and you will probably bump into a lot of people because of it.
