Why do guys make it obvious they are staring at you?

Maybe you're misinterpreting eye contact for staring? They're trying to actually catch your attention, and you're thinking 'Jeeze why don't they just come and talk to me, why do they just stare like that!', and they're going, 'Damnit, she'll look this way soon' and then when you do he'll go talk to you, or whatever. Eye contact is the preliminary. You make eye contact, you have some kinda connection, some kinda sign, and then you talk to each other. You don't just walk up and talk to people out of the blue - this even applies to friends or colleagues. Only real good friends or family you could comfortably talk to without them previously noticing you, it's the way of things...

By the way, it really ain't that COMMON to just go talk to somebody. Most people meet their lovers by mutual friends. Hell, I go and talk to people all the time, I've never gotten to know somebody that way. For some reason it gets a lot of attention and there's a lot of pressure on people to do it, but until you get to lie, 40, it ain't a usual deal.

Eye contact for more than a 3-4 seconds is staring in my book. And if its the guys goal to make the girl feel uncomfortable, then no doubt he achieved it. As flattered as I am, I have no reason to converse, let alone stare back at him. Are you saying it is normal to look at a girl for 3-4 seconds every time you see her even when the girl doesn't seem to care?

Some boys are shy and just stare at you wondering how are you so beautiful and if you look at them long enough maybe they will know you like them. Others stare and look away quick when the girl turns they abviously like u. So o e day go and talk to him and maybe he like you. But don't just ask him if he likes'u try to have a conversation then let it pop up.

I guess they make it obvious is because they want to let you know that they are interested. a reason why they might not go up to a girl and say hi is because they might be nervous or afraid of your reaction or doesn't know what he will say after that.

I stare because I like staring. its different than talking. its more intense. and yeah sometimes its easier than talking. but often its just 'different'. If I like someone, I mean)
