Why do guys stare?

They're attracted to you and men are visual creatures. We like what we see. That doesn't necessarily mean they're interested in having a conversation. I'm not condoning leering at women, just explaining why they're doing it.

People say that because men are primarily visual. They like women with certain body types - not smells and sounds. You'd have to be an idiot to pick your mate like that. "Oh, I really like how you look but the smell and your voice are just... not doing it for me""?

no not at all, i keep my distance out of their personal space. i have a strong sense of scent i guess, sometimes peoples perfume irritates my nose and throat. sometimes i like how women smell. in Belgium we say hi to people by kissing them on the cheek, and then i smell them like the air just comes in my nose, its not like i smell them on purpose or anything. i also love how some girls their voices are.

@anonman32, Oh, well if you kiss them on the cheek, that would explain why you can smell them. In North America, we rarely get close enough to smell each other unless they're wearing a lot of perfume. Yes, girls sometimes do have very attractive voices and it's definitely a factor in how attractive they are but, primarily, men like how a woman looks. Even a nice smell and voice cannot make a girl attractive if the guy doesn't like her visually. However, looks can make her attractive even if her voice and smell isn't the best.

@anonman32, it is possible that some people over-emphasize the visual aspect and neglect the smells and sounds in the context of attraction. I just mean visual is the most important but that's not to say smell, voice and even the texture of their skin does not play a part as well.

And his best friend suddenly started talking to me and then that same day I saw them talking to each other while looking at me... there's lots of times that proves he knew!

I was in a similar situation just mesmerised by her beutty and it got out that she liked me. Which some may say is good because it's easier but it increased the pressure for me because every move I made towards I interacting with the girl would be scrutinised by a lot of people. I wouldve preferred the uncertainty and rely on her giving signs tbh. It's an illusion it seems easier but it's more difficult.
