What does it mean when a guy calls a girl "ravishing"?

Yesterday I met up with one of my guy friends. The weather was really sunny outside so I had a sundress on, polished makeup, and did my hair wavy. When we met up at the cafe the first thing he said to me was that I looked "ravishing".

Guys, if you say that to a girl, what do you usually mean by it?

It's a very high complement. Beautiful meets alluring. Kind of like saying she's hot but with a solid acknowledgement of her class and dignity.
