GUYS! he says were "chilling" what does that mean?

Ive been seeing this guy for about3 months and at this point I'm not quite sure what's going on so I asked what are we doing as far as our status and he responded I like you and you like me were chilling so my question is what does this mean guys?

I'm not exactly sure he did explain to me that he has too much on his plate to be worried about a girlfriend right now which he does appear as a busy man to me...so he comes off as wnanting that boyfriend and girlfriend appearance rather than actually having that tie
