Me and my boyfriend have been dating for a couple of weeks now, but known him for about 3 months and were both 17. And we get on really well, he's funny and lovely. And I've never been any happier. But last night, we were just talking on the phone as usual, and we were talking about things that we regret...

And well, he told me that he used to be a manwhore :/ and he said he's not like that anymore. But I think he could tell I would get a bit upset so after he said that, he was like ohh I just ordered your Christmas present by the way.

That has made me feel a bit disappointed as I thought he wasn't like that. He kept saying over and over again that he's not like that anymore. But how do I know if its just an act, and what if he is still in his old ways?

I don't want to be messed around and get hurt. So I'm thinking I should end it, but I don't want to because we both like each other and we have got each other things. I haven't had a proper boyfriend for 2 years now.

But what do you think I should do?

Should I end it, let him know how I feel? Or just carry on as normal like it doesn't bother me?

I mean, with every thing you do in life you take that chance of losing or getting hurt.

Any relationship or involvement you have with someone is going to have those same risks.

Are you ready to take that chance?

You need to ask yourself that question.

If not, you won't be ready for any type of relationship at all.

Nothing is 100 percent smooth, or fantastic.

It is at first, but in every relationship there are some bumps along the way.

Maybe him bringing this up is the true test of how much you love him, and

if you shall or will stick around.

If you are ready for this, then proceed has you normally would,

but keep your eyes open with him.

Remember,

You aren't a fool if someone hurts you.

You are only a fool if you continuously allow yourself to get hurt by the same person.

Because chances are, that person has their best interest are heart and doesn't want to change.

If he didn't tell you, then you never would've known. So he has to have changed at least somewhat. Keep going as normal and if he does something problematic, let him know.
