Guys wanting to help girls

Why do guys always want to help girls?

I read somewhere that if a guy is really interested in a girl, he will always offer to help her with things. Is that true?

My boyfriend offered to help me, even before we were dating. Right now, we are in an LDR, and even though we are in different countries, he always wants to help me if I have a problem. Don't get me wring, I'm not unappreciative or complaining, I actually ~love~ his help and he always helps me so much, I was just wondering why he would offer helping me so much even though he is so far away.

We have some twisted need to help others not just girls we like. Call it having a good heart if you see it that way. When you're accomplished and have experience, knowledge, wealth, skills, talents, etc. there is kind of a pleasure in knowing you've done so well at certain things in life that you can give back and help people. I think it's kind of a human condition that feeds our egos... People enjoy admiration and appreciation, and they get it from people who ask for their help. Most people like to help when if they are able, they just don't like being used. So long as people respect those around them they generally get helped if they ask and are willing to do for themselves as well.

Men show this more often with people we care about. You'll see it happen with our women, kids, friends, etc. We take care of our own first. If we've come so far that we can do more we do.

Men are providers and protectors by nature, and problem solvers. If we care about someone, that's one of the ways we show our love.

Just to let you know he's still there for you, no matter how far you live apart now. He's your boyfriend, he wants to be there for you and help you whenever he can.
