My boyfriend is constantly on the Internet or computer ... How do I make him understand why I don't like it?

Whenever we hang out its reddit, Facebook, league of legends or the chive. All the damn time. He gets angry when I ask him to put away his phone or close the computer.

We're not always together so it's not like he doesn't have time to do these things. It makes me feel insignificant when I'm tryin to talk to him and hang out when he would rather look at stupid memes or cat pictures.

It's getting worse, and we've been dating a year and a half now.

Join him or ask him to play something else that you might also enjoy. How often is this "we're not always together"? If he has plenty of time, and I mean plenty, for himself and those things then yeah, you should talk to him and get him to cut it down. He will at least try.

Otherwise...Depending on the relationship, trying to change us in that way is the single most annoying thing a girl can do. I could go further into this point but it's probably not needed.

I have no issue with him doing any of these things, it's the frequency.

But how often does he have time alone? You say you're not always together but that can mean a whole lot of different rates.

We see each other every second day? And not until 8:00 usually, then I spend the night.

Is he extremely busy apart from the time he spends with you? Does he get to play the day you're not together or does he have duties to attend to?

He goes to the gym every day after work and besides that nope nothing. He has nothing but time.

Then it's reasonable to ask him to tone it down, just be cool about it. Make him want to spend the time with you instead of making him not spend the time on the PC. Ask him out, set some romance up, watch a movie, anything works.

It doesn't work though. I do ask him to do things and he doesn't want to. :/

Don't ask him to do them, take the initiative. Take a movie and a bag of popcorn when you go over, maybe a bottle of wine. Make it so he'd rather spend his time with you.

If he gets angry and/or aggressive when you make a remark about it, then he's probably addicted to that stuff. If you want him to stop with it, then he has to realize what he's doing, accept it and be willing to do something about it. Otherwise he's just going to keep to get angry about.

Did other people also notice this? Maybe you can team up and confront him together about his behavior. He may be more willing when it's not just you, but more people.

At first I was going to say its def not an addiction but I just tried asking him to do those things less and he flew off the handle accusing me of asking him to stop them altogether then made a very mature remark about throwing out his gaming pc, phone, and television "just to make me happy" then told me I was pmsing. Ugh. I wish there was someone else

I could talk to about this but he lives with just his mom and I don't think she has a clue.

When someone becomes angry about stuff they are usually addicted to it. Perhaps his mom also doesn't realize it, or perhaps she does. You could try asking her about it?

They literally spend no time together except for during meals. I'm certain she doesn't.

If he lives with her, and they are only together during meals, then she has to realize something is off there.

Possibly. He's always in his room and she's always watching TV and drinking wine. I don't know, their relationship is off. I don't want to bother her either, her boyfriend has prostate cancer so she's busy with all that.

talk to him about it. I've been with my boyfriend a year and a half as well. he's on reddit or league all the time as well. I'm fine with it though because I tried doing these things with him. maybe try playing league with him I have and its great. or suggest something you can both play or do together.

I play other games but league doesn't interest me at all. I don't mind doing similar things with him but I can't stand it all the time, and that's the issue.
