I guess it would depend on the type of society. Here in the U.S., we are mistaken for being capitalist country. We are not. We have quite a few social programs ( and more everyday ) with people leeching off the system. In such an environment, having money is less important as you leech off other people who do work hard.

I don't love money and I don't need to live an expensive lavish life to be happy. with that being said I need to feel financial secere. I need to know that the bills and rent and all of the needs of the family is met every month and on time without worryr.
