Are girls aware if their bodies are touching with a guy?

I'm in college and we were on the bus. It wasn't too crowded, but a girl and I were standing close. Our legs, arms, and our sides were pressed on each other. We were both standing and holding on to a ledge.

I apologized to her because there wasn't too much room for me, but she didn't say much. She smiled.

But I was wondering if she noticed that our bodies were touching together or if she didn't mind...

Definitely. Absolutely. The only time I'm not extremely aware that I'm making physical contact with a guy is if its someone I touch so frequently that it feel normal.

Furthermore, if I'm making physical contact with a guy and I don't at least try to create more space, there's pretty much only 2 reasons for that:

1. I feel like it would be rude, given the person and/or situation.

2. I don't want to. I'm trying to *receive* signals from the guy by maintaining contact, which in turn means I'm sending them out, too.

As I said, depends on the person/situation. If a great uncle comes up to me at a family reunion and hugs me or puts his arm around my shoulders, I'm going to be very aware of the contact but feel rude if I break it.

I was on a bus recently, where a guy (I know) sat next to me, and I right away noticed his knee touching mine. I didn't freak out or anything, I'm just saying I noticed it. So, I'm sure she did.

Yes I would say she would have definitely noticed it. For me I am always very sensitive to who I am touching. What I would think is that she doesn't dislike you.
