Help there's a dragonfly in my room

I tried catching it in a shoebox but the thing flies and its fast and I'm not tall enough to reach the ceiling. It keeps disappearing too. I don't even know what dragonflies eat but I know that whatever it eats would be outside where dragonflies belong. I have concerns for its welfare.

Please help.

Oh the old dragonfly in the room huh? happens all the time. But wait, there's no need to panic, find a towl or hoody or clothing, 1.) wad it up into a ball, 2.) then wait for it to stop moving, 3.) throw it at the dragon fly as accurately as possible, this question is awsome by the way lol blobbs right by the way. they eat your brains, your lucky it dident get you, you should have called 911 seriously, you could have died it takes to long for a reply on this site, next time call the cops -.-, not really though I kid.

I would say if it's still there just open a window.

Invest in a butterfly net, I have one on hand in my room just in case a wasp or bee finds itw way in my room.

I improved on the butterfly net idea with a plastic bag. That didn't work, but it did disorientate the thing long enough for it to land on a cushion. I was swift with my shoe box. As soon as I heard it fluttering against the top of the box I closed it up and took it straight outside. Didn't actually see it fly off (was night time) so I left the box outside all night just to be certain haha.

They eat other insects. As far as how to catch him without hurting him, the only thing that comes to mind this morning is a butterfly net, but not too many people have one of those, so maybe a tool net for skimming stuff off the surface if it's one that is like a bag. If you leave the windows and doors open, eventually it will probably find it's way out on its own.

You could ask Obama to have a drone blow it up..but that wouldn't be good for yur celing.

It will findits way out of yur room soon enough if you leave a window open..especially when it's daylight.

They eat 30-35 year old broads that are afraid of small bugs. They can smell the fear on you, man o.O

Try fly paper next time. It works for other bugs too.
