Is a trust issue a deal breaker?

I'll put it plain and simple. My boyfriend of 6 months has told me over the phone that he does not trust me, especially to be responsible with bodily fluids he may excrete just as he doesn't trust anyone else with anything... By the way, we have not done the 'dirty'.

This has made me feel awkward for quite a while and think this is the hugest red flag since red flags existed. But like many other women out there, I'm hesitant to do anything too rash simply because I know he loves me as I do him...

Is there any advice out there about what I should/shouldn't do?

Do I call it quits or soldier on to hopefully develop his trust?

Now, I too have trust issues. But that's a new one by me. Usually, mine stem from abandonment and being used. If a girl who used to be interested suddenly begins ignoring me, or if her friends start butting in on my conversations with her and she takes their side, I tend to see that as a red flag.

I understand your sentiment of "soldiering on." However, I too wonder when enough is enough. I don't wanna break my girl's heart, but she's left me out to dry lately without a lot of answers. And the few explanations of anything I do get from her, she is saying them in languages she knows I can't understand. (Which I consider awfully rude.)

The last time a girl did that to me, she dumped me out of the blue, and then tried to make it sound like my fault that her step-family hated her. When I'd hardly ever had any contact with any of them. Go figure.

So now, I smell a similar pattern, and immediately think: "Crap. Not this again!"

But...he doesn't trust YOU with HIS fluids? He's convinced you're gonna TRY to get yourself pregnant with his child? Any man that scared of a woman he only just got into a relationship with attempting the baby trap on him has some serious issues.

I'd first ask him what the deal is with thinking you're gonna baby trap him. Next, if he gets really weird about it, I'd tell his mom. Or yours. Whichever is more likely not to overblow it. And if things don't improve, get out of there.

Quit. Guy is not worth your time (and he sounds rather strange). He likely has other issues that you would rather not address (ever). Good that you have found this out early in the relationship

I always find later on that my gut feeling was right at the start. Are you the same way ?

It is but first you have to learn to trust your instincts before you can trust another human being. He needs some time. It is a red flag I would advise that you avoid him

You need to work on resolving these trust issues, a relationship won't last without it. If it's something you two can work on and you're willing to, then great. If not though, call it quits sooner rather than Later.
