  I know we can skull out "what I did wrong" or some such. But here's the deal. Violence is never normal. If she's mad enough at you to hit you, it's time for her and you to go. The one occasion I had to deal with this, my solution was clear. Please ignore the racial aspect. It is contempt and condescension that must be remedied, and quickly. I did exactly what Sidney did.
