I wish I lived in a world were it was OK to ask a serious question about women and not get judged for it. Thanks to the few who didn't by the way. I think I'm gonna start judging girls for being so shallow, they really seemed to live up to that standard on this post.

idk why everyone online is saying she is a hero. if she saved someone elses or others lives that's heroic. getting hoer breasts removed when she is got millions to do it and to get them fixed up is not heroic. she was scared shed become ill so she spent money to avoid it. how is that heroic.its more cowardly than anything else. if she were a hero shed sacrifice herself to help others.

I believe she's keeping her nipples because 1) She's got enough kids I think or can always adopt more. Her nipples were the first thing she had operated on to minimize her risk of cancer before they did the double mastectomy and filled them with implants eventually. 2) I believe it's for her career as an actress where her body is constantly in the limelight and what if she wants to take up an acting role where nudity is required. 3) she's famous for her boobs. Ever watched Tomb Raider and all her other movies? She's gorgeous in all of them. 4) it's just weird not having them. Can you imagine your breasts without nipples? Dohhh... now who's dumb? I must say I find it slightly offensive that she's gone through a physical and psychical trauma of removing her boobs or having a 90% chance of cancer and you're reducing the whole issue to it "sucks though" that she'll have no boobs anymore.

I don't know what I might've said to piss you girls off or make myself sound like "a typical sleezeball guy" but I asked a simple question about a womens private parts in regard to a surgery I knew nothing about, let alone spell it correctly. Double mastectomy. No, she won't be boobless. They reconstructed her boobs with implants after the removal of tissues which could lead to the development of cancer. She did it for her children so they won't have to worry about losing her to cancer. I respect her for her decision to keep women of the world informed of this method of minimising chances of developing breast cancer by publicising her procedure. Truly admirable.

She already had the double mastectomy along with breast reconstruction surgery. So basically, the doctors removed her breast tissue and replaced it with implants.

The mastectomy was done in an effort to prevent breast cancer since genetic testing showed she had a very high chance of getting it. Now her chances are less than 5%.

She was at very high risk for breast cancer and decided to have a double mastectomy, opting for breast reconstruction with implants. It's a difficult decision to make and go through with, mentally and physically challenging, but at least she greatly reduced her chances of getting that type of cancer. She may live longer because of it.

yeah she did but kept her nips and had reconstruction done meaning they put implants or other fillers in to fill the space where the breast tissue had been. jolie says she only has small scars now.
