What does it mean if a guy tilts his head on yours?

I took a picture with a guy I just met and I noticed he leaned his head on mine and put his arm around my shoulder. Does that mean anything from a body language viewpoint? Just wondering, I've never had a guy do that to me before. I don't know him well at all but we are friends!

Here's a little bit of background, what do you guys think?


i noticed he approached me a lot to talk

he was teasing a lot of people but he definitely seemed to mess around more with me

he seemed to like initiating physical contact with me in general, others as well but definitely more so with me (others noticed too)

he complimented the way I look

he did tell my friend he had a crush on some other girl and he was asking my friend for advice on whether the girl liked him/not

I wouldn't read all that much into it, actually.

Someone said it first: he's just showing a comfort level with you. It's affectionate- but more than in a friendly way it's not, necessarily.

If you both are American then it's likely just our physically comfortable way to being around those we like. Europeans aren't as much this way, generally speaking... and in some parts of the world there would unlikely have been physical contact at all... or much more could be read into it, perhaps. Somehow I doubt this to be the case, though.

I'd possibly do this with a girl I just met too- if I felt comfortable with her and we just kinda "clicked", I guess. I would have just seen it as being warm and friendly.

it all depends on multiple variables I've studied body language and from an expert I can tell you that no singular action holds information it is the full picture of what their entire body is doing a well as your relationship with the person so my advice would be to firstly look how he acts with other people if he is very physical with everyone it probably means nothing but if its exclusive to you it could mean many things from he has a crush to he just feels close to you

The body language behind this is quite endearing. I think he either likes you or he is consciously doing it hoping to convey a message in the picture. As if to say "I like this girl" or "she's my girl" or something similar. This is what I'm picking up from this. It is also possible that he is like this with a lot of people. Like those "natural flirts" out there. Either way I think this sums up what it means pretty well, don't you?

body language with leaning into the other partner is a sign of being comfortable with somebody and may also mean they like you. Arm around the shoulder is another sign of him being comfortable with you.

I disagree. Whenever I do something like that, I do not do it to "claim" the girl for myself, but only to show that I am very comfortable around her and I would say it is quite an affectionate gesture
