Supercars DO NOT impress girls, true or false?

Question

I want girls' answer ONLY, please.

as I become wiser and wiser with girls, I am quite adamant that supercars and nice cars have almost absolutely no influence on how attracted a girl is to you.

If she likes you, you could drive a very average car or a supercar and it makes no difference. She wouldn't like you more even if you have a supercar.

If she ain't attracted to your person, then the best cars in the world also won't make any difference.

I think it's like girls' jewellery and fingernails, they spend so much time and attention on them, when in fact, us guys genuinely couldn't give a flying monkey's ass f*** about what jewellery or nails you are wearing.

I know you said girls only, but I don't particularly care, because you clearly don't understand how this works.

It's true in that no woman is going to be attracted or not attracted to YOU because of your car. It doesn't matter whether you're driving a Maserati or a Pinto, it's not going to affect how much they're attracted to YOU one damn bit.

However, the car you drive IS a reflection on YOU. If you're driving around a beat up 1970 VW Rabbit, there's probably a reason for it. Likewise, if you're driving a brand-new custom BMW M3, there's a reason for that, too. All of these things might SAY something about you to somebody, and that can affect how they percieve you, and that can affect whether or not they want to pursue a relationship with you.

For example:

1988 Chevrolet Corsica, paint wearing off, very worn interior.

"Why the hell is he driving that thing? Can't he afford anything better? Is he cheap? Does he just not give a sh*t about his car?"

2013 Lincoln MKZ - Brand new, high class interior

"Wow, that's a nice looking car. Probably expensive. Can he actually afford that? He must like nice things. Who is he trying to impress?"

People will use what they know ABOUT you to prejudge you. We all do it. We look at people and things about them, the car they drive, the way they dress, the way that they walk, talk, stand, laugh, and we come to conclusions about them based on our own past experiences. If you're driving an expensive car and a woman's experience is that guys with expensive cars are jerks, she may assume that you're a jerk and instantly discount you as potential unless some other mannerisms in dress or action belie that for you, so when it comes to things like attraction, there's a lot of factors that can work for or against you, and yes, a car is one of them.

But generally speaking, portraying an image of success is a positive thing, and will cause people to think generally positive things about you. And driving around an old beater is not a stellar image of success. But as far as it directly affecting personal attraction? No.

Of course, some women are golddiggers, and will see a nice car and think "Maybe he can afford to buy me nice things" and try to use him for that, so if you're the kind of guy who's in the market to use women like that for fun/sex (and honestly, most of us would be, if we had the option), then it can easily work well in your favor.

If she's already in love with you, driving any car will not make any difference in her level of affection towards you, yeah she might be proud having a rich boyfriend, but she will nvr look you down even if you're poor (take note that this is only if she really loves you, not you being delusional thinking he loves you dearly). But if you're talking about potential girlfriend, then yeah driving a supercar will make your job easier, of course, depending on the girls. For example, if the girl herself come from a rich family with supercars I'm pretty sure it doesn't affect her at all and vice versa. Some girls who comes from middle class family might get excited with the fact you own a supercar, and some will totally ignore your rude  behavior  and still hover all over you just for the fact you are rich, while some, totally care about your behaviors even though you might be rich. For example, I just dumped a guy badly because he thought he could impress me with his harley davidson bike, little that he knows that my family own Nissan Fairlady 350z and BMW Z3, so his spoiled attitude totally turned me off even though he's 190cm and a good looking detective. I'm pretty sure it smacked him pretty hard on the face 1st girl to totally refuse him!

I absolutely love cars and I have done ever since I was around 6 years old and I always bought model cars which I played with more than my Barbies. I've now gone from toy and model cars to playing racing games on my PS3 which I love! :)

It wouldn't necessarily impress me about the man, I'd just be more fascinated with the car than him! xD I'd also feel like a gold digger being with a man who has enough money to afford a supercar, which I wouldn't like because I'm not materialistic.

What you said about what kind of car you drive has no affect on the girls attraction to you is 100% correct in my eyes and depending on the girl. I don't care if the guy I love is driving a banger, to a van or a supercar. I care for him and only him, not his possessions. :) Though, if he had a supercar, I'd insist on letting me drive it xD

I think they impress girls to some extent, depending on the girl. If she's into cars or knows a lot about cars, how to fix cars, for example. Maybe she'd be more attracted to guys with more expensive cars. MAYBE.

Some girls would think, if they saw a guy driving a really nice looking car, "Oh that must mean he has a lot of money, which means he most likely makes a lot of money...which means he could be able to provide and that he's a hard worker and responsible and that he's intelligent."

Some girls would think, "Oh, that must mean he's very, very rich! I must get to know this person."

But I do agree that if women aren't at least somewhat attracted to a guy, then the most nicest cars won't make them like them more.

It really depends on the individual woman and her personality and interests though.

Nice cars are impressive. Reliable cars are equally impressive. Nice men (respectful, treats a woman well, self sufficient, faithful) are very impressive. Some women are in fact impressed by cars, most aren't. It depends on the woman.

How it relates to me, there is no connection between the man and his car. What he drives is irrelevant to how he treats me.

Bottom line, if he doesn't have good characteristics regarding women, he could be driving the space shuttle and I still won't be getting in it.

Additionally: I'm not one who fancies lots of rings and necklaces though I do have some. I do like to have nice nails, even though I don't devote a lot of time on them. Regardless of the two things, I really do these things to feel good about myself, not to impress a man.

PS: The only time I find a naked man hot is when his character is bigger than his penis :P

Dont mistake her giving you attention, being attracted to you. She is not genuinely attracted to you as a person in any way if she starts acting interested in you just because you have a nice car. The only exception to this is a chick who is a huge racing fan or something of that sort.

It shows that you have money, and that is all that they are attracted to.

I agree with you that if she likes you, the car you drive makes no difference. And I can bet that the women on here who disagree are shallow, materialistic, or gold diggers.

As long as he has a car, it doesn't matter. I don't care if he has a clunker, as long as I don't have to drive on dates.

We girls put on pretty jewelry and do our fingernails for us, not for guys because we know guys don't care. Guys need to start looking at their vehicles in the same way. It's actually a pretty big turn off if a guy tries to use his car to show off to a girl (seriously, if I hear "I have a motorcycle, wanna go for a ride?" from my coworker one more time, I'm going to break his neck).

Depends on the girl.  I like pretty cars, a lot.  Some women do care about the car, if they care about money and status they are going to look for a dude with a nice ride.  Other girls don't care at all what you drive, like you said.  As far as the nails and jewelry, pretty sure most guys appreciate a girl looking feminine and looking nice, both of those things fall into that category.  So while you might not give a F, a lot of guys do.  Everyone is different, there is no back and white answer for this question.

You're right. Supercars are pretty, and we might feel a friendship connection with the guy ("wow, you have good taste!") but the whole "girls date/are more attracted to guys with hot cars" is BS. As long as his car is clean and functional, it doesn't matter. There are some cars I really hate and are really wimpy compared to my car, like the Hyundai Accent and PT Cruiser, but if I really liked him it wouldn't matter in the end.

For me, at least, how much I like the guy has simply nothing to do with how rich he is or his car, or social status.

But, I'll be sincere, I prefer this guy I really like with a nice car (consider this as meaning "financial stability") than with an old one. If he has and old used one, though, I'll walk in it and feel like it's the best car in the freaking world, as long as he's at the seat by my side. ^^

the only thing I know about a car is at what level of air should the tires be, how to change a tire and how to check the oil haha

personally, idc about a guy having a really cool car, as long as it works and not a beat up old bucket and you have to push the windows up with your hands. that would be bad lol

but overall, no idc about driving a super car or a dodge. and he better be able to pay for his toys among all his other monthly payments and bills.

No, what you drive doesn't make you more or less attractive.. If you're ugly, you're ugly! Even if you have the most amazing wanted car a girl could ever want.  A decent looking guy on a bicycle could possibly be far more appealing. :D!

It indeed has no influence on our attraction to a man. If I weren't attracted to a guy before, no car will make a difference. If I'm already attracted to a guy, it will only be a bonus. So you don't need to spend money on it either way.
