What does it mean when my ex lingers around?

Ok, so a girl had us introduced at our church in summer 2011. We dated a few months, she was young and really did me wrong. Things went bad that fall. She came back to try and be civil the next April. We talk consistently, she texts me first usually (I've learned to try not to text her first). So at church, she'll usually come up to me, or try to talk to me, whatever. It's things that appear like she's lingering around. I'm not about to go into the friend zone with her since I've been through too much with her as it is. I still think she cares about me but doesn't know how to show it. Just wondering on what I could do to figure it out. She follows me on twitter, but I don't tweet that much. She usually asks me or gives me a hard time a lot, but that's usually typical of her. She's hard to read. Any Ideas?

shes still in love with you or whatever. jus go with the flow, if she talks to you answer but let her call the shots, until you know for sure what she wants form you.

ok, so how should I go about it? She has had some drama induced problems in the past, but I do care for her. I'm just not sure how to handle it and if I do pursue it, how I should handle it. Does that make sense?
