He's moved away from London to a town almost 2 hours away by train, so I know he doesn't just want to hook up. He cut the people he knows from there out of his life, so he said it's strange talking to me.

why is it just about sex? We don't even live in the same city anymore. Is it impossible for 2 people who used to date to just talk and be friends?

It was the pandemic and lots of people are single for more than 2 years. It doesn't mean they haven't dated or talked to other people though.

Ok, but whatever it is, sex is not happening. I don't know who could be bothered to talk to someone that lives that far just for sex, when he could find it locally. It was nice to speak to him and hear how's he's been and what he's been up to, but he must be silly if he thinks I'm going to get a train for 2 hours to sleep with him! I thought he was probably just a bit lonely having uprooted his life, and was ok being just friends if possible.
