Is he ignoring me or did his phone get taken away?

I met this guy online last Monday, don't judge or say it's unsafe! I was on omegle just to try and find someone my age to just talk to and this guy came across for the same reason. We got talking like we were friends, about school, life, and college plans (we're both 17 and going to be seniors in high school). I gave him my number (I NEVER give it out) and he texted me the next day, I didn't think he would. We've been talking since then except once because he got his phone taken away. From what I know he seems like a sweet guy and really caring and nice. On Wednesday of this week we were talking normally about senior pictures and he never replied to my last text I sent. He usually does. The next day at night I texted him "Hey!" and it's Saturday and I still don't have a reply. Usually when he doesn't text back soon he ALWAYS apologizes for not replying. Since we don't live close I'm kind of worried maybe something happened even though nothing probably did. He doesn't seem like the type to just randomly stop talking because 1) He usually texts first, I'm about to text him and he always beats me to it 2) He apologizes like I said before 3) He always says bye before ending the convo. I'm hoping he just got his phone taken away again and he isn't ignoring me. We have snapchatted once or twice (he does not have an iphone so he had to use his moms phone to snapchat). What do you think is up? Thank you!
