Is the word butthead offensive?

I sometime use the word playfully for the guy "friends". I've had two guys get offended by it.

One was a guy I dated a few years ago. He got really mad and we broke up.

Today I called my current boy a butthead. He just said "I don't like it very much".

Is the word butthead offensive or are they little girlie men?

I don't think they know how to take a joke, lol. 'Butthead' is hardly meant as a serious insult, and anyone who takes it as such seems like a big baby to me. They need to lighten up and stop taking s.hit so seriously. =P

I call my boyfriend a butthole all the time and just thinks it's amusing. BUT we both dig Beavis and Butthead, so that would be part of it, haha.

Idk you're you're younger and live in Bulgaria. Maybe our definitions of butthead are different. I've heard of butterface that means a girl has a nice body but ugly face. I don't think butthead is bad at all.
