Are my chuck taylor sneakers too big?

I bought some chuck taylors today. They were on sale and I can't return them...Now I think they might be too big. Where my big toe ends, the shoe is a little bigger than a thumbs width to the end...If you wear chucks, do you have that much extra room too?

i don't have tham much of a room but I don't think it will be awful to stay with them.

some chucks I have experienced this...but its fine
