Do girls fake cough for attention?

Do girls fake cough around a guy they like? I mean those coughs where you KNOW it's fake and she doesn't do it when she isn't around you?

Yes I fake cough to get a guy I like to look at me, or talk to me.

I think she is doing this so I will look at her, she sits behind me and across the room where she can see me, and I can see her if I turn around and have caught her looking at me a lot recently.

I've noticed my friend's girlfriend doing this fairly frequently when we were all camping this weekend and when the 3 of us were on Skype playing games online, and it's so cute...

Point is, it's an attention-getting device and it's quite effective. I guess the real questions would be what kind of attention she wants and who from?

I'm thinking I'll ask her about it but I dunno if I want bring it up with my friend. I guess I'll ask a fourth party about it, but even then I don't know if I see this going anywhere. At least, wish me luck.

My ex literally did that last Wednesday trying to get my attention because I headphones on and wasn’t giving it to her it’s clear that she craves attention and by denying it I keep the power but yes she wants your attention.

No. That's funny. The only time I fake cough is when I want my husband to open a car door for me, and even then it is an inside joke between us. Coughing is so unattractive - why would a girl do it for attention? Now fake sleeping to look cute...yes!

No. I think coughing is unattractive, so I don't do it unless I really need to. If I wanted to get his attention, I would try to catch his eye. If that doesn't work, I'll just talk to him.

I used to giggle while talking to friends so he can hear me from across the room, or walk by several times. Now, I just go up and talk to him and just try to be friendly.

I did actually haha... My master plans were flawed though. So I just sucked it up and talked to him.

She has a boyfriend and is shy, as am i. I don't think she would ever initiate a convo. Basically I had my chance to be with her but came off as though I didn't care due to anxiety depression and a lot of other things, inexperience and didn't see the signals until it was to late.

I know I hurt her self esteem, she was being persued by her current boyfriend while she was persueing me maybe she just gave in finally because she thought I didn't care?

Her friend would push her towards me and say things like ''Go talk to him.'' and she would say '' He doesn't want to talk to me.'' In a very sad voice. I feel so guilty and it hurts me knowing I hurt her although unintentionally.

Tell her you like her. Just talk to her. She obviously likes you and wants to talk to you. Girls love it when you talk about your feelings and opinions because we want to please you. =] go for it!

I'm kind of traditional, and feel so bad about talking with her like that when she has a boyfriend. Even though I love her with all my heart, but I'm going to do it when I get the chance because she is beyond worth it.

Don't feel guilty for FEELING a certain way. You can't help that. Ultimately it's her decision who she wants to be with. But I understand how you feel.

Personally, I have never seen a girl do that. I haven't coughed to get someones attention, either. Normally girls giggle, blush, pretend to drop something, pretend to fall, tell there friends and then her friends will smile at you knowingly.
