Why aren't American Alligators and Crocodiles and pythons in California?

They're in Florida and extend quite far down west. I imagine California has similar temperatures to florida so how come? also are there any known incidents of them going there on occasion?

PH balance is corrosive. Salt water.

Just like you don't see lobster and shark in the same areas. The salt water is not a pleasant environment for them. The pH and oxygen content in the water is different.

In my business I can boil water as low as 34 degrees. In cooking add salt and under heat water boils at lower pressure. Salt lower the boiling point of water and changes also the oxygen configuration.

Like when you add salt to water when cooking pasta, Salt is added to lower the tempeture so the noodle do not get hot enough to warp them.

California is too much of a Mediterranean temperature. Florida is much more subtropical. That is why they have all those swamps in the lower part of the state and it's so humid. California is just dry.

They don't like California and it's cheaper for them to live in Florida. I am sure they vacation there though from time to time.

this was all I could find, I would assume that they haven't had a need, same as why pandas are only found in asia but they could survive here... just evolution I huess

but they are not connected continant wise so it is kind of obvious how pandas aren't here. it is not as if they would swim the atlantic or pacific ocean. crocodiles and alligators are already in the usa, california seems warm enough
