Why do girls like DJs so much?

What is more attractive about a DJ over a guy that plays an instrument or writes and performs his own music? I only ask because it looks like a lot of girls are really drawn to DJs these days and I just wonder why.

They feel comfortable around them. The girl I like right now, works in a place with a DJ. her line of work allows her to become comfortable with the DJ. If she's comfortable around you, she likes you. DJ or not

They're at a place that people go to meet other people and they are well known due to being in charge of the music. I don't think it's the headphones.

They're probably fans of electronic music then. It's the same as having girls who like rap fawning over rappers vs. guitar players. Sometimes it's just their taste in music.

I really don't find it attractive or unattractive, and I've dated a DJ before. It's kinda inconsequential to me.

A singer/songwriter definitely has appeal though.

I find guys who could play an instrument to be more attractive...specially if it's drums or guitar...especially if it's a guitar :P

Same reason rockstars. On the stage in front of tons of people giving him all their attention and praise.

Music, music has a huge emotional impact on people, you associate the songs someone plays with them.
