Why do guys think all girls are the same?

Why do a lot of guys seem to have the "all women" attitude? It seems as if guys so often see humanity as incredibly diverse, and amazingly individualized...among men. But somehow women are a monolith in the mind of a man. Men see that women all look different on the outside, but somehow they think our personalities, desires, characters, wants, needs, and psychologies are identical copies. If one woman has done it, we all do it, right? The thing I don't understand is why do men think like this. Do some guys really believe that all women are the same?

It happens both ways, specially if a guy/girl has had bad experiences in the past. "All girls are the same, they only want money." "All men are pigs, they only want me as sex meat". Stuff like that.

Generalizing, no matter what it's about, is always incorrect. Since they're often biased on our own limited experiences...or more often, stuff we hear from others or see depicted in the media, stereotypes are born. Gender, race, religion, politics, nationality, careers, habits, etc - you name it!

You see, it's very easy/practical to just grab a bunch or whatever, wrap them up and label them as anything. That way, we can comfortably make assumptions and find explanations to every situation. The thing is... that's incorrect from the very start, because we're ignoring every person is unique to an individual level and we easily prejudice people based on said assumptions.

Now, there's no denying sometimes we can see a pattern. Otherwise, stereotypes wouldn't born and recognized so easily. But we must remember they're nothing more than that, and there will ALWAYS be exceptions. Lots of them.

All that said, remember only fools will truly believe stereotypes are 100% true. If a guy (or girl for that matter) has that "all girls/guys are x thing" attitude, he's probably not worth it anyway.

OMG it's not just men women seem to believe it also. You don't know how many times I got " you give women a bad name" from women. Like hello  like I'm  an individual I represent myself and myself only not other women like that's the same if I said O that guy was a pedophile you know that mean hide your kids because like all men are. Like that is stupid!

yes because we're all unique snowflakes

but in all seriousness, no, it only takes a little life experience before guys realize trends. Women are wired AS women, which means there are certain common aspects to how the see,feel and do things.

People really aren't that unique

once a guy gets experience and some of the "oh she'll be different" bs shattered by reality, he realizes how similar the psychology is between girl to girl

It's human nature to make assumptions about groups of people.  Women say the same thing about men.  Well, they say different things about men, but they make inferences about the whole gender based on limited experience the same way that men do about women.

Women in the US are terriblyconformist, and share similar cultural and political attitudes.

The only exceptions are those from minority cultures who haven't been assimilated into the US 'mainstream' Anglo culture, yet.

Men tend to be this way also, but to the same extent; a lot of guys do think for themselves.

But I rarely meet a girl from the 'mainstream' culture who has any opinions she didn't get from the TV and movies.

I don't think they're exactly the same but I do think women as a whole are less diverse than men - especially when it comes to attraction/dating/relationships e.g. what they're attracted to in the opposite sex, haha.

As a male, my opinion not all girls are the same but 90% are. All my female classmates and my mother treat me like sht. They only care about their appearance, go and ho around etc. Nevertheless, I want to believe that they are girls that have a beautiful character and don't care only about go party around

We'll in dating almost all of them are pretty close to the same. They never plan the date, most have a problem when the guy doesn't pay for both of them, the girl generally doesn't plan future dates are things to do. A large majority of them seem to do close to nothing. They just kinda tag along with whatever the guy picks
