Trending & News I know some women who are better athletes then me.
1) faster... I'm a very fast runner/sprinter. Swimmer not so much. If a woman is a better swimmer than me I will probably just watch her techniques and ask her for advice.
2) stronger... I don't know any women personally who have more raw strength. There are plenty of crossfit girls who can snatch more and are better at certain movements. While I find it attractive I am also very competitive.I will try and watch her form and maybe get some tips. I have a friend who did gymnastics that helped me with some stuff.
3) more muscle mass... I don't really care. Mass does not always = strength. I weight 175lbs and I don't know any women who are at that weight in pure muscle.
I like your answer :) nice descriptions and very detailed reasoning :)
Thanks lol
Faster wouldn't bother me because I am probably losing ability building muscle mass in my legs. I do run and do cardio sometimes.
Stronger it depends. I lift weights a lot but am also extremely cautious about safe lifting. So many people think they're impressive when they lift something and all I am thinking is "Your lower back's gonna pay for that..."
If she had more muscle mass, in my situation it might be gross because I already have built up enough for the last 1.5 years.
Thanks :) nice "to-the-point" answers.
No problem. That's how I see it.
I was in 9th grade and I benched 100lbs for my one rep max, (I weighed like 112 at the time) and no one would drop it. It was the most out of the girls and more than most of the guys. They still tease me about it. I also hold our school record for time holding the plank. I don't look that muscular and I'm really not macho or competitive, so it seems really out of character for me and I though it was a turn-off. It's nice to hear so many people differ!
Although isn't it weird that everyone's cool if the girl is faster? My speed is my main strength, and I never thought that was weird.
I remember out running my ex it was pretty funny for me but I'm sure he a little embarrassed... :)
Haha, I know what you mean. My ex and I are both wrestlers, and we had the tendency to get more than a little competative

damn if she had more muscle I probably wouldn't be attracted lol don't think I could date a girl who had bigger guns than mine. on the other hand I would date fast girls, "runners" or "sprinters" theyre hot as f***. I raced a girl who was like jack rabbit, damn she blew me out of the water. I was more a long distance runner than sprinter, also she was hot as f*** lol
Haha, how about if it was all strength no muscle mass?
I know what you mean about sprinters! Holy! I mean, I'm straight and all, but damn, I can admire what deserves some admiration!
cant have a lot of strength without some muscle, not really possible. there are those wiry folks though
Well it is to a degree. I studied mech briefly. Some people have a better quality of muscle, or are able to tap into their full potential easier (via hormones... adrenaline etc. )
Lets talk theoretical though,
Unlikely any girl not on steroids is going to be stronger or have more muscle mass than a guy more or less her same height and weight. And I run from any girl I think is on steroids, since the steroids cause them to get angry for no reason at all, even more so than a lot of spoiled princess women.
In third grade there was one girl faster than me, Lisa, and I think I'm still in love with her, though I haven't heard from her or seen her in 25 years.
I've always had a penchant for athletic women, so I like it when they are strong and well muscled. I wouldn't even mind if she were really tall, and stronger than me naturally, because of her height and build. But that would have to be a woman like 6'6' or something, and even then, I'd probably have a stronger upper body. nature has made it that way...
Thanks completely untrue. Sure, its more likely for the guy to be stronger, but that much so.
Haha You should look Lisa up ;)
I understand how "generally" men are stronger, but there are exceptions (minus steroids)
The average guy is nearly three times stronger in the upper body than the average woman. Unless you're 5' and the female is 6'6", a guy is going to be stronger unless he's injured or handicapped or something, absent steroids.
You seem to be so wrong its unbelievable. You do realize there are other things, such as training natural strength, and influx of adrenaline that could sway one way or another?
I wrestle. I have for 6 years. Everythings done by weight. I see plenty girls who are much stronger than their male partners (and generally their partners are taller) and the guys will even admit it. I'm MUCH stronger than the majority of men my size (and bigger) they had no handicaps, and I don't use steroids.
it won't sway three times the upper body strength, no...
I've honestly lived through that sway. I know general rules. I understand "generally" yes its true, but there are many exceptions.
Lol
I would adore it like mad, in all 3 cases. Seriously, It's what I really want.
1) would adore it that I run away, and she could catch me in no time
2) I am not very strong , I'm actually dreaming of a girl 1.5 times stronger then me, which is something in common range, with a very athletic girl
3) total turn on, already at first view !
Add to that : 4) and considerably taller : YESSS ! ;:-)
Would adore it, if she would pick me up and carry me in whatever possible way, especially such a front piggy-(back ?) carry , and then talking on while I'm carried on her arms, for a very long time...
(1) Faster: Wouldn't care, I'm not a very fast person and can only run a 5 second 40 yard dash. Nobody in my family was really a runner anyways.
(2) Stronger: I would be generally surprised. A woman that can bench more than 270 and squat more than 325 is definitely NOT normal.
(3) Had more muscle mass: Again, I would be very surprised. I'm not body builder veiny built, but I have a lot more muscle mass than your average guy and it is somewhat defined. IF a girl was more ripped than I was, she must really enjoy testosterone supplements or is NOT normal.
would surprise be all?
1) Don't care I'm a slow runner, I'm too bulky
2) Very unlikely I work out 5 days a week and weigh 225 lbs but my girlfriend is really strong it turns me on when we play fight
3) Again really unlikely unless she is on the juice lol
Some guys aren't into them but I really like athletic girls I find them really sexy! link

Though it seems unlikely one would be stronger than you, theoretically, how would you react (given she still looks good, and no steroids) ?
Surprised and turned on a little
why turned on?
idk why lol
I like my girls to be soft and feminine so, if she's stronger or had more muscle mass than me, I wouldn't be interested. I wouldn't mind if she was faster than me though. I'm pretty muscular myself so any girl stronger than me would hardly be a girl at all.
Seems fair enough :P
If she is significantly stronger and has more muscle mass than me, I would not feel very comfortable around her. Not because she can attack me with more power because I know martial arts. But because it would make me embarrassed to be seen with a woman who looks so much fitter than me in strength. In our society, the guy is supposed to be bigger and stronger.
What exactly makes you uncomfortable? societies views, or your own?
I rarely see couples in which the woman is stronger and better built than the guy. I do know couples which are the opposite, but rarely. Because of that, I would not feel comfortable in that rare group where the woman is stronger than the man.
Cant argue with that,
Faster doesn't bother me that much, I know that I'm not that fast, my muscle is more geared towards endurance instead of speed. But if a girl was stronger or had more muscle mass than me it would be a turn off, since I'm a pretty big and strong guy, a girl would have to look like she was on steroids to be more muscular than me. I like women that are toned, but not muscular.
I'm confident that if need be, I could maul her, so it wouldn't bother me.
Haha, by far the best answer so far!
Then she's the she hulk. That's probably be kind of weird. =P
Care to elaborate?
I'm just saying I'm 6'3" with a large frame, and a good amount of muscle. When someone asks me to help move furniture and they think it's going to take 2 or 3 people I'm just like just let me do it *sigh* and pick it up over my head like it's nothing and move it 100 yards put it down where it needs to be and go on with my day. I've run marathons before, and am a pretty decent sprinter, though I don't pace as fast as I use to for distance... I'm not a spring chicken any more. =P
Growing up I won the mayors cup for soccer, league champion chip for hockey, was a state champion wrestler in one of the largest states in the nation, use to run 6 minute miles, etc. I was pretty athletic guy, and while I'm not involved in all those team sports anymore I'm still a pretty big guy. She'd have to be a body builder chick, and they always look alien and weird.
Daaamn, Doc...Brains, Bronze, don't know about Beauty?
Honestly, I wrestle as well. I'm the national champion for 4 years straight, and I beat the US champion as well. I train a lot, so I'm much stronger than most people (including people that match your size) I don't think I'm grotesquely muscled, but I still am much stronger than people nearly twice my size.
I don't think I look "alien" but would the strength still be a turn off?
Being a former wrestler I know what the training is like, and I respect it. I'm sure you're strong/tough for your weight division, but I wouldn't equate that to being stronger or more muscular then someone big guy. There were plenty of smaller guys that meddled regularly in their division on my team but they got manhandled by me in practice... Like I said I'm a big guy. I don't know too many women that are 220 LB+, do you?
If a girl is fit, that's fine, but some girl that's really muscular 220+ pounds is probably going to look like she's pumping roids. There are ripped women out there like that and they probably lift more and all that, but they also look very masculine a lot of times and yes looking masculine and ripped is a turn off.
If she was something like a gymnast with a lot of agility, and had muscular legs, could do tons of handsprings and back flips and kinds of crazy sh*t I could probably not come close to pulling off at the moment, I wouldn't feel like she's outdoing me or anything. I'd think that was pretty cool. =P
I do disagree again. I come from a small town, so as wrestler, there was no one size, let alone gender. I've only ever wrestler men (most of which were over 6ft and 200 pounds) After a few years, I started winning, and dominating. Muscle mass? More than the average girl... (my legs are more than the average guy) but nothing strikingly so.
So, lets say the girl looks normal, and she's stronger. What would be your reaction?
How would I even know if she's stronger then me? Is she physically abusive and tries to overpower me? If so I wouldn't tolerate anyone that was like that even if they were weaker then I and couldn't hurt me. Is she confrontational trying to always out do me or challenge me to petty sh*t? If so I wouldn't tolerate that either, it would just seem childish. Again I'd dump her for that personality trait. I don't even see where this would come to the surface. It's a non issue. The things that might
I'm trying to theoretical here. Like, maybe you were playing around, play fighting and she won without you letting her win. Or she picked up something you couldn't, or beat you at arm wrestling, or out did you at the gym.
Nothing "negative" just something that would hint to you that she's stronger.
If she takes play fighting serious, that kind of defeats the idea of "play" fighting... Play fighting is a game for girls that "want to be dominated"... They like a guy to be rough with them, pick them up, pin them down, pull their hair a little bit because they get off on that sh*t and it leads to sex. If you actually want to fight and take it serious, then go to the gym and practice with people that want to do some judo/wrestling/mma and do it on the mats.
All the rest of that stuff just
Can you get the idea that this is trying to be negative out of your mind? If girl is play fighting, it doesn't mean she wants to be dominated, it could mean she wants to dominate. It could mean the guy wants to dominate. Play fighting is only play fighting if both people want to win and PLAYFULLY fight for domination. I'm trying to be theoretical. I'm not talking about domination or miss treatment, I'm just talking about a man's reaction to a woman being stronger than him.
I understand you want to know how we "feel" about being outdone by our woman, I just don't understand how you foresee that coming to light in the terms of a healthy relationship. Am I over thinking your question? Maybe, but I'm just looking at it for what it is in the terms of a relationship. If that sort of comparison is going down, it's likely due to some other dysfunction in the relationship.
I really think you are over looking the question. Imagine this; A woman carries a box in the house quite easily, she asks her boyfriend to bring the box into her room while she gets another one from the vehicle. He goes to lift it and is unable. How would he feel? Nothing is unhealthy in that situation.
Its less about competing and more about "would you be okay with it?" "would you accept it?" "would you feel less masculine? or be indifferent."
I think you need to target a specific demographic if you want an answer to that. You can't ask a bunch of strong men, who basically have the will power in them to do it no matter what. Some men have that in that in them and no matter what you throw at them, they're going to figure out how to make it happen. Other men give up and feel sorry for themselves. The first group would likely never encounter having to ask the woman for help, because they believe they have to do it themselves.
a lot of men are like that. It's a stubborn independent streak and we don't ask for help even when it would be easier to do so. While the later group would probably feel inadequate and embarrassed about it. It's about state of mind. Some men it might phase, other men don't give a sh*t and muscle up regardless.
I am asking the general population because I want a GENERAL answer. More so, I want YOUR answer. I'm not interested about what you think most men would do, but in fact what you YOURSELF would do. Though you played out a pretty solid answer. It obvious that I dint understand, otherwise I wouldn't be asking a question.
Be theoretical. What if it did?
are you quite sure that's realistic?
Its not that I underestimate it, its more than I find it strange that you'd breath your last breath before letting a girl be stronger than you.
No, defeat is one thing, stupidity is another. I don't give up when I'm losing. I don't give up period. That doesn't mean I CANT lose. My first few years wrestling my partner was 6ft3, 230 pounds and 4 years older. He was a regional champ. I lost. Many times. But I would get back up, train harder & I beat him easily now. I represented canada at the worlds & you have the audacity to say I'm not a wrestler? You're being ignorant. Everyone loses at some point, otherwise we'd never drive to win.
Are you asking if we'd date them? Or just what we think about them in general?
Both actually :)
she'd have to look pretty manly to be more then me on what you listed so I wouldn't be attracted to her to begin with
Well, lets say it was one of those attributes, not all three.
I don't mind.
Why not?
I am really liking your answer ;)
Thats an insightful view on it, and well, I certainly agree.
I would love that. Why would I have any problem with that? As long as she isn't taller than me, I have NO problem. Maybe a kind of turn on :-p
oh? how so?
Just my lady being muscular and strong is a turn on. I like big muscular strong women. Its appealing to me. Lol.
