What does it mean when a guy says you're too pushy?

What it actually means, consider the likely ages, is that they are full-of-shit. Generally speaking anytime someone gives a vague explanation as to why something did or did not happen it's not really the truth. "She was pushy how?" > "Well, you know, pushy, like ... pushy." That's probably what would happen if he was really asked; in short there's nothing wrong with you, he needed an excuse and came up with one, and it's based entirely on that ONE TIME you totally didn't let him finish that level and instead insisted that he actually spend time with you.

It means that you want to do something or want them to be a certain way and you aren't afraid of telling them that. And in a way the guy feels a bit undermined... I wouldn't worry about it.

not a whole lot of information going on here but I would guess it's your being too bossy, or pushing him towards something too much. Perhaps you where attempting to be encouraging towards something that he saw as bossing him around.
