Do you think of hypothetical sad scenarios and then cry?

I was thinking of something when I was driving and it made me cry. Sometimes sad imaginary stories just pop into my head and it makes me sad. Like I was thinking what if an alien was found and the government tried to do all sorts of horrible experiments on it and it turns out the alien just wants to go home to its family. This question is a bit weird I know.

Yup, my imagination runs wild sometimes and although I'm not truly upset, in the moment of my imagination, my emotions are so strong. I thought I was the only one lol glad to know I'm not crazy.

Yea, sometimes when I pay more attention to my imagination, it's easier to cry than when I actually face real sad stuff. Actresses have to imagine that sad scene to cry

I've done this, I have a very vivid imagination and can be extremely sensitive.

lol, yes I do that too, think of some really sad horrible scenarios then just cry.

I used to. It stemmed from being abused by family members and not knowing hot to deal with it to move on.

I don't know if this is why you do it but maybe it's something to think about.
