Why is when you breakup guys start coming out of the woodwork

Has anyone else experienced this? Suddenly you break up with your long term bf... And then male friends start messaging you telling you how the feel and they fancy you etc...

Yeah it's flattering! Great someone else finds me attractive. It's a great confidence boost, even though I'm very much still in love with my ex.

Why do you boys do this... And when your not interested they chase you even more lol

Omg do they do the same thing to me! I don't even know how and where they come from. It's like they been stalking you and out of nowhere thy all like hey boo. I always thought you was cute blah blah. But honestly I asked a dude that..and his response was I didn't know you broke up with your guy. I just honestly had feelings for you still and I wanted to know if you would give me a second chance...boys are confusing just like females

Um...because you should now be available, where as previously you weren't.

And because 90% of the time, a girl will get into a new relationship shortly after a break-up, so the guys who are your "friends" who have been waiting patiently for an opportunity, don't want to miss out by letting some other guy swoop in.

And because your ex is your ex, which means he's not yours anymore.

Don't act as if women don't do this. Women, whom I hated and others whom I didn't, do the exact same thing to me when I break up with a girl, and many women start texting me the day that they break up with their boyfriend.
